Unit 7: Write an opinion essay

The government plans to introduce a new law which will mean that all the children and teenagers go to the school on Saturday mornings. Only our government is going to do that in order to improve the level of education. In my point of view, this would have positive and negative consequences.

The point is that school is too boring for us, teenagers, every day of the five days that we have to go there, so, we won't be agree with this new law. This is the negative consequence because students who are a bit older than the others will organize protests and all which will be possible for that new law won't be approved. So if this law is introduced, I've no doubt that it will be unfair for the students because when you are young, what you are thinking along the week, is on Friday, the last day of the week for finish the school.

A positive consequence is that the education is going to improve above all the country, Catalonia.

I believe that a method to achieve the government's aims is that teachers prepare better the students in class, but I don't think that if the country is not good with education it means a problem caused by the students. This probably be fault of the government .

It seems to me that there's a better alternative: if government not spent more time thinking another way to improve education, teenagers and a lot of people won't be agree with school on Saturday.
